On December 5, 2025, Municipal Mayor Edward Albert โBobitโ P. Prades, together with LDRRMO III Romil L. Estolano, RN, and LDRRMO I Alayne S. Luntok, LPT, received on behalf of the Municipality of Tinambac the 25๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ from the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council held at Vela Hotel, Gogon, Legazpi, City.
The award recognizes the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Tinambac for being ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, achieving a rating of 2.50 during the Regional Assessment for Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils and Offices (LDRRMCOs) for CY 2025.This marks three consecutive years that MDRRMO Tinambac has earned this prestigious recognition.
This award is a tribute to the hearts and hands of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office teamโtheir courage, countless sacrifices, and tireless service in making Tinambac safer and more resilient.While Mayor Prades received the award in his capacity as MDRRMC Chairman, he proudly affirmed and acknowledged that the true brilliance behind this achievement comes from MDRRMO. The Gawad KALASAG (GK) Seal for Excellence, organized by the Office of Civil Defense and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), stands as the countryโs premier awards program for stakeholders actively engaging in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and humanitarian assistance initiatives.
Under Mayor Bobit’ s administration, programs to strengthen MDRRMO’s capacity to resilience remain a top priority, with plans to provide another ambulance next year to further support disaster response and emergency services.
