
MDRRM Council convened for a pivotal meeting
On December 11, 2025, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (MDRRM) Council convened for a pivotal meeting presided over by MDRRMC Chairman and Municipal Mayor Edward Albert “Bobit” P. Prades, together with LDRRMO III Romil L. Estolano, RN. The session was attended by the dedicated members of the MDRRM Council, representing various offices and sectors involved in disaster preparedness and response. During the meeting, Mayor Prades emphasized that disaster risk reduction and management remain one of the top priorities of his administration. He highlighted the importance of proactive planning, strong inter-agency coordination, and continuous improvement of the municipality’s emergency response systems.
Mayor Prades also reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the MDRRM Office by providing more mobility assets—such as additional vehicles and equipment—to ensure that responders can reach communities quickly and safely, especially during critical situations. He further assured the Council of his full support in enhancing the Office’s operational capabilities, equipping responders with the necessary tools, resources, and training to act efficiently and effectively in emergencies. The meeting also covered ongoing initiatives, operational readiness, and strategic measures to bolster community preparedness and resilience.
