On Monday, December 5, 2026, Local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator Dionisio A. Palaypayon Jr., together with Local BDRRM Committees Liaison Officer Mark Russel A. Valenzuela of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), conducted monitoring activities in the high-risk barangays of Tamban, Mananao, and Bagacay. These areas are vulnerable to rain-induced landslides, flooding, rising water levels, and possible road obstructions.

The activity was carried out under the direct supervision of MDRRMC Chairman and Municipal Mayor Edward Albert โ€œBobitโ€ P. Prades as part of the municipalityโ€™s proactive disaster preparedness measures.

Earlier, Mayor Bobit Prades issued an advisory suspending classes in all public and private schools at all levels in Tinambac due to moderate to heavy rainfall caused by a shear line, based on the Heavy Rainfall Advisory issued by DOST-PAGASA. This measure aims to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.

The general public is advised to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, and continuously monitor official weather advisories and updates from authorities.
