BRIEF HISTORY OF THE BARANGAY
Barangay Lupi was originally named “Katirayan” an exotic grass that grows almost all over the place during those times it was not colonized yet, during the time way back 1876.
The original settler of the village were native tribe called “Agta Tabangnon” because on its land area were found near the Mount Isarog. Native people used to eat native foods from the plants and grass that grows from around them, and another grass they had discover was a “lubi-lubi” the name of this grass and the way the natives pronounce the word lubi-lubi, had change the village name fron Katirangan into Lupi.
Barangay Lupi had played a big role in the history of the town proper called Tinambac, during the Spanish time, and their colonization, the Spanish brought along christianism to the village, they had built a church with a Patron Saint San Francisco de Asisi in one of its sitio called “Carihan”, on that time on, sitio Carihan of Barangay Lupi had become a center of Charter and business, and people from around the neighbor barangays came to do their business.

Our vision for a years ahesd is a well established community progressive yet peaceful, drug frre and disciplined educated, and most of all fearing society.
MISSION
Our mission is to obtain a community of God fearing, humanitarian and peaceful society, pushing the camaraderie and disciplined community implementing programs, projects and activity, strengthen juvinolle capability, hand and hand working together for the betterness and progressive society.
