π‹πŽπŽπŠ: CBSUA-Calabanga Launches Its 1st Inaugural Research Colloquium

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Calabanga Campus (CBSUA-Calabanga) proudly held its 1st Inaugural Research Colloquium on October 23, 2025, at the CHDC Conference Room and the Research and Extension Conference Room. With the theme β€œFaith, Tradition, and Livelihood: Understanding the Cultural Worlds of Local Communities,” the event celebrated the university’s growing research culture and its steadfast commitment to advancing knowledge deeply rooted in the lived experiences of local communities.

The colloquium served as a vibrant platform for the presentation of research findings, linguistic studies, and cultural inquiries conducted by faculty and students. Beyond an academic gathering, it embodied CBSUA-Calabanga’s mission to return research to the people it representsβ€”bridging theory and practice, and ensuring that knowledge becomes a driving force for grassroots empowerment, cultural preservation, and sustainable local development.

The event was also graced by representatives from local government units, including Ms. Miel Bongon, Tourism Officer of LGU Calabanga, and Mr. NJ Boy Sagales, Local Youth Development Officer of LGU Tinambac. Their participation highlighted the strong collaboration between the academe and local governments in fostering community-based research and innovation.

Special recognition is likewise given to the researchers from Tinambac, whose scholarly contributions continue to strengthen the municipality’s development programs, policy initiatives, and innovative projects.
