The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tinambac, under the leadership of Mayor Edward Albert โBobitโ P. Prades, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) headed by Mr. NJ Boy D.S. Sagales, successfully conducted the LYDO Year-End Assessment 2025. The activity served as a platform to assess, evaluate, and celebrate the accomplishments, programs, and initiatives implemented for the youth sector throughout the year.
The year-end assessment underscored the LGUโs strong commitment to youth empowerment, inclusive governance, leadership development, and active youth participation in local development. It also provided an opportunity to recognize the collective efforts of youth leaders, partner agencies, schools, and stakeholders who continuously support youth-oriented programs in the municipality.
A major highlight of the event was BIDA SI SK: GAWAD PARANGAL, an awarding ceremony that honored the outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials and councils for their exemplary performance, quality public service, transparency, and dedication in implementing impactful programs for their respective barangays. This recognition aimed to inspire excellence, accountability, and innovation among youth leaders as they continue to serve as catalysts of positive change in their communities.
The celebration was further enriched by the Inter-School Christmas Dance Competition, which showcased the talents, creativity, discipline, and teamwork of the participating youth. The competition promoted camaraderie, healthy competition, and the true spirit of the Christmas season. Congratulations to the winning barangays:
1st Place: Brgy. Sta. Cruz
2nd Place: Brgy. Antipolo
3rd Place: Brgy. Buenavista
The success of the activity was made possible through the unwavering support of the Sangguniang Bayan Members, led by Vice Mayor Ervin T. Borja, whose guidance and legislative support continue to strengthen youth development initiatives. Special appreciation is also extended to First Lady Mayor Belle Prades for her full-blast support and steadfast commitment to advancing programs that uplift and empower the youth of Tinambac.
The LYDO Year-End Assessment 2025 stands as a testament to the municipalityโs shared vision of building empowered, responsible, and service-oriented youth leaders. As Tinambac moves forward, the LGU remains steadfast in fostering unity, excellence, and meaningful youth engagement toward a more progressive and resilient community.
