No Classes at Gregorio Ocampo Bercasio National High School Today, October 17 (Friday)
The Local Government Unit of Tinambac is aware of a social media post mentioning a bomb threat directed at Gregorio Ocampo Bercasio National High School in Barangay Cagliliog.
As a precautionary measure, we are suspending classes at the said school today, Friday, October 17, 2025, to ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and school personnel.
The matter has been reported to the authorities. The Philippine National Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team from the PNP Provincial Headquarters has been requested to verify and clear the area.
We ask everyone to stay calm, avoid sharing unverified information, and allow the authorities to do their work.
We remind the public that making or spreading bomb threats–even as a prank–is a crime punishable by law under Presidential Decree 1727, with penalties of up to five (5) years imprisonment or a ₱40,000 fine, or both.
Classes will resume once the PNP EOD Team and concerned authorities have declared the school safe.
Thank you for your cooperation and vigilance.
