The Department of Agriculture, led by DA-RFO V Agriculturist Gail Antioquia, along with key personnel from the Department of Agriculture Regional Office V, officially turned over 500 organic chickens and housing facilities to the farmersโ associations of Barangay San Ramon as part of the Organic Chicken Production Project.
This initiative is part of the Livestock Economic Enterprise Development (LEED) Program, โ a flagship program of the Department of Agriculture that aims to support and create new livelihood opportunities for farmers, empowering them toward self-sufficiency and resilience.
Present at the ceremony were OIC Municipal Agriculturist Joppet A. Barrameda, Punong Barangay Nestor R. San Juan, and other barangay officials from San Ramon, all of whom expressed their gratitude for the Department of Agricultureโs ongoing support and commitment to advancing agriculture.
This endeavor aligns with one of the priority programs of Municipal Mayor Edward Albert โBobitโ P. Prades, which focuses on promoting and strengthening organic agriculture in Tinambac. Through this collaboration, the Local Government Unit of Tinambac, the Department of Agriculture, and local farmers are united in nurturing sustainability, productivity, and shared prosperityโtruly paving the way toward a Banwaan Progresibo!
